Homemade Vacuum tubes Television Using Oscilloscope CRT

DG7-36 with 2 of EF91 as sweep tubes. ECF80 as video amplifier.. I can't remember , I build this when 2006years as experimenting prototype form.

When i study the old Television, I start to know the 1930s-1940s Television having Round CRT screen. I'm Curios how it feel when watching such TV. There is few reason i don't Get a real old TV to watch.

1. The TV is expansive and rare, especially the CRT, usually is non working condition if there is any set survived it need to restore before to get it work.

2. This old Television usually have different System, such as 405line for BBC ..etc it is not compatible with modern system.

So i desire to design my own Television. by look at Ebay. There have sell alot Cheap old oscilloscope CRT and the anode voltage usually less then 1.5KV , will work fine even 1KV.. it very nice deal to start ..

Did your set include an actual TV tuner, or was the video input from a VCR?

The video signal is from VCD player.. this set doesnt include TV tuner, it just TV monitor..

Hi, is PAL 625, Sorry i dont have circuit diagram, This was my experimental TV, is few yrs ago i cant really remember too, the sweep are generate from Transitron.

2 of EF91 as Horizontal & Vertical Sweep, ECF80 as Video Output and SYNC seperator , ECC81 with EF91 sweep as Pushpull output to deflector. IS about 4tubes, I cant really remember this was my 2006 project .. Thx
