  • This version rocks!!! They took a simple tune you've heard a million times before and turned it into a Sci-Fi/Avant Garde epic!

I first heard this version back in '91 and it's been one of my all time favorite songs ever since. Glad this is on You Tube. definitely underrated and underappreciated.

  • Misunderstood band, under-appreciated, exept for the So. Bay faithful, where they are still revered, please post more - The Last were fantastic!! THANX!!

  • The following is how I found this video: bout 25 years ago I heard a Louie Louie marathon on the radio and the version by The Last. It was amazing, haunting, and many more adjectives. I'd always meant to track it down "one of these days". Today was the day. Unfortunately, I forgot the name of the band. No problem in the internet age, went to Louie Louie A-Z and scrolled till I tripped across the name. Googled it and found this YouTube version. Worth the wait and hunt. The ALL TIME BEST VERSION!

  • is he on speed to the max in this video?

  • Very under rated! They never got the credit that they deserved!

  • Joe Shows A Perfect "Punk" Mental Frontman ,Rotten Pay Attention.... Not The First Time He Acted This Way And This Band Never Got What They Should Have Vitus Was Amazing Also I Might Add Im Glad I Was Introduced To This Band

  • The best band you never heard in your life. Joe gives "Louie Louie" the manic intensity that made The Last's version of "Be Bop a Lula" a staple of their live shows for all those years.
