Around Roanoke: Spring 2006

this is a video that i did one day when we were let off early from work.
i walked around town taking video of stuff that i thought looked neat. at the time i had only lived in roanoke for about 7 months. now i've lived here for about a year 1 1/2.
people ask why i didn't put certain things into the video, well i just didn't walk down that part of the street or to that area of the city.
i might make another video with other stock footage i have or not.
oh, and i made the music you hear.

I can't believe I happened upon this. Great video for me as well as I also am from Roanoke and now live in West Texas. Please don't take this wrong but where is the Texas Tavern and the Star ? Great job tho !  I hope you make another one ! Thanks !

at the time of the making of this video, it wasn't dark, so i didn't get the star. and i didn't go west of 2nd street.

we'll see what happens in a few weeks.

Very nice job. I only lived in Vinton for about 3 years, but often wound up in Roanoke on my days off. Now back in New York (almost 30 years since leaving VA), but have fond memories of Roanoke and SW Virginia.

I was born and raised in S.W. Roanoke. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. I now live in Ky. Damn I miss Roanoke!! I visit my family once a year but don't have time to visit these sights, now I can.
