The fast, effective and humane way to eliminate barking, lunging, leash pulling, begging and jumping from your dog's repertoire. The nose loop fits loosely and comfortably around the muzzle (we tested it on our 6-month old golden, to make sure it was comfortable). Neck strap fits high and snug, enabling you to apply pressure similar to that of a mother lifting a puppy by the scruff of the neck. When you apply gentle pressure to the leash, your dog will pull backward, not forward—no more leash pulling, choking or gagging! Proven effective for dogs of any age.

  • This is the greatest thing ever. In the first 10 minues I noticed a huge difference in my weimaraner. One week later his is perfect on the leash.

  • the dog is walking ahead of you, and sniffing isn't that wrong, unless you give the dog a sign that is OK to do it?

  • Great collar - trying it out at the moment.

  • @angeldanielmx as long as they don't pull on the leash.

  • I just put this on my 50lbs lab.. She is a terrible dog for the first 30 minutes of every walk we've ever gone on, pulling and not listening...

I put the gentle lead on her, and literally within 2 minutes of our walk (first time use) she was walking beside me and looking at me for direction... Highly recommend thus to anyone with a problem walker.. And I've only used it once

  • I don't like how hard you have to set the neck piece over the dog's trachea. It's too much pressure on the trachea, IMO. It doesn't collapse it, but it does, most certainly, put pressure on it.

  • EXCELLENT collar for my male great dane; when I tried it years ago on my girl danes they would simply stop in their tracks and try to take it off regardless of treats or the walk. It just isn't for everybody but for dogs like my male it works like magic. I think Cesar Milan is great, my favorite advice of his is to consistently jerk and release every time your dog tries to look or sniff something that could make them pull. If you have strong dogs like me this is so important, will save your arm!

  • Great dane male story cont. The gentle leader WORKS ON ARTHUR!!! I grabbed a handful of treats, put the leader on Arthur with no mercy like it shows in this video (don't be anxious about it, calmly put it on but quickly), put a leash on it and went for a walk. He went WILD a lot the first few minutes, but every time he did that I would slow down, have him sit and gave him a treat. After 5 minutes he pulled a lot less and had a smaller tantrums, barely pulled at all after 20 minutes!!

  • I had ditched using it with my female great danes a couple years ago, I found that a consistent use with a nylon martingale collar worked great. HOWEVER, I bought a massive 7 month old male back in April, he came as if he were TRAINED to pull. At 10 months he is now 130 pounds. It has been HELL trying to get him to heel using a martingale, we start obedience class tomorrow. I've pulled back out my gentle leader collar but lost the video on how to put it on, THANK YOU for posting this!

  • Does anybody know if this is a good leash for a Siberian Husky?

  • @angeldanielmx Do you want the dog to be a zombie?
