That's what I want to do to my wife's Audigy 2.
It has crackled for ages, even with the newest drivers installed 4 days ago!
Utter shit, along with the Dell Dimension 4700 PC it is in.

@hobazzz i have 2 of them they work perfect i also use it for home recording. the quality is amazing these are great cards. especialy for recording.

Just a lot of driver issues. It hasn't been until now, recently, that creative has been providing decent vista drivers. But even know, their drivers are pretty terrible and their cards are poorly made. I've heard the Asus cards are good and also the Razer. If you're doing actual recording, i would suggest HT|Omega

if you on Vista/W7 better get modded drivers by Daniel_K. You'll get all those features that the XP driver has.
