The Evening Star - Terms of Endearment II

Highlights from the film "The Evening Star". Original music: Michael Gore. 1996.

With the passage of years, Aurora asks herself if she has risen and educated well her three grandchildren, after their mothers death. The eldest is in jail for drugs possession, the youngest daughter is in love with a bad guy, while the one in the middle has reached some stability with a young woman with which he has a son. The three of them seem to hate her, and they dont recognize all her sacrifice and the things she did for them.

Con el paso de los años, Aurora se plantea si ha educado bien a sus tres nietos después de la muerte de su madre. El mayor cumple condena por tenencia de drogas, la pequeña se enamora de un sinvergüenza, mientras el de enmedio ha conseguido la estabilidad con una joven con la que tiene un hijo. Los tres parecen odiarla sin reconocer sus sacrificios.

I dont know why people gave this movie a bad wrap. I though it was a good follow up to the original

How come they always have to rune a good movie Like Terms Of Endearment by the sequels I thought the should just leave it alone.Sequels are never like the originals. The Exorcist is a good example the Squeals were flops.

Tommy has serious issues that's why he's in jail. He's had problems since childhood.

This is a wonderful film! I don't know why it didn't catch on, but it was just as poignant as the first. I loved it!

Beautifully filmed, beautiful score and background music, and a great story. I HATED the first movie ( I don't know why), but this one blew me away. I would have give Marion Ross an outstanding supporting actress oscar. That scene in the kitchen when she tells Aurora that she's quiting, and then precedes to tell Aurora about her life (or lack thereof of one) flipped me out and showed what a really talented actress Ross is. Watch that scene again and listen to the backgound music. Beautiful!
