    This scene alone is better than most movies to be honest.

    Probably only because its the exact atmosphere / tone / music i would think of when thinking of zombies.

    And the directing of George Romero just adds soooo much to this scene (mainly helicopter sequence).

    lol. he still hasn't. I've seen DOTD at least 10 times, and I was wondering... so I checked it out:

    I think this scene is taken from the 'Euro-Cut' version, the audio (with synth fx, like in the video here) is at least on the german and another english version's audio track.

    the 'Extended-Cut' however, has a different kind of music on the english audio track (I think it's "L'alba dei morti viventi", the piece with the 3/4-beat).

    there may even be more different audio tracks out there... xD
