  • Are the 3 radios connected to the same antenna, if not this comparison is not much counting.

  • Yes, they are.

  • Nice video, but hard to tell watching the video. it almost looks like the 870 is doing the best. What was your opinion?

  • These radios are more or less equal on receiving. Yaesu is doing surprisingly well and Kenwood is over 13 years older then Icom...

  • FT-100D has led to better, higher in the rx.

    IC-7600 radio bad

  • FT-100D has led to better, higher in the rx.

  • The best are TS-870.

    1st - KNW TS-870

    2nd-ICOM IC-7600

    3rd-Yaesu FT-100D

  • COMPARISONS ARE APPRCIATED. WONDER WHAT ATTENUATION EACH RIG IS SET AT? IS ANF ON IN ANY CASE? IS NB ON IN ANY CASe? What filter is on if any ?

HOW BIG IS THE BAND WIDTH IN EACH CASE, ETC? 2.5K 1.0 K 500 HZ?

  • I preferred TS-870, this are best of other 2 radio

  • Plus the 7600 is the only radio in CW-R mode...changing the entire passband landscape.

If you turned off the Preamp 2, kicked in a little NR,

reduced the bandwidth to 250 and peaked the audio filter, then the 7600 would sound like the winner.

The FT-100 has congenital problems..like it's TX sounding horrible and blowing out. The 870 is like a radio-lab... a classic.

  • yes, agree > we do not know conditions of all three radios. Icom has preamp 2 and what abt other ones? Also BW, AGC etc...

    P.

  • Well but noisy Icom has level 2 of the pre-amp which is not comparable with the others...

    73 - Petr, OK1RP

  • qrrm in the 7600 with the preamp 2 is normal
