  • Dare I hope that the location of the Wahoo is being kept secret, so that no commercial divers will be allowed to plunder the wreck. I hope that she, like our own HMS Royal Oak up in Scapa Flow, is designated an official war grave, so that any interference with Wahoo or the men within her is an offence.

  • Mush Morton one of my personal heroes. His boss recommended him for Medal of honor but the politicians chickened out

No offense taken. Good post. Thanks for sharing

  • "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust" is the phrase so often heard at a (land) burial.

I'll go out on a limb here and offer this alternative:

"Fishes to fishes, and rust to rust."

I'm sure someone will (still) find a way to take offense at this, and so I will also offer an apology too- this is NOT intended to offend or to "disrespect." Quite the contrary.

"Mush" Morton and his gallant crew are among the very few heroes I still have left to me, and to men like them, I can only offer my "thanks."

  • This coverage gives me chills. RIP to all those who lost their lives in this watery grave. Forest L. O'Brien you are truly missed - RIP
