  • This is a lightweight system, which does not require nor allow vast quantities of water to store. The filtration layer allows a certain amount of water to stay on the roof and the rest flows off as on a standard roof. This run off water can be stored into a "grey water system" which stores and treats the water (now here's the good part). With solar powered units you are able to pump water back up on the roof to irrigate & feed on a timer also solar-powered. PS sedum plants don't need a lawnmower

  • Gotta mow the roof, brb.

  • installing green roofs in our home is the solution for global warming! =D

  • @thejoyofrob Because it lets a roofer build a metal roof, cover it with dirt and weeds, and pocket $27/sqft?

  • @flunkdfluc lol im sure excess water gets drained out looking at the diagram of the living roof on the vid.

  • very informative

  • See the video, " organic architecture Suncrest Cottage", for a green roof home design.

  • This makes no sense whatsoever. It costs 3/sq. ft. in Kentucky to build the BEST shingle roof possible. It cost 30/sq. ft to build a green roof. How economic is that?

  • Our video response is the perfect solution for waterproofing a roof, we believe the a GRP roof is the perfect partner for a green roofing system. Google Hartseal GRP Roofing Systems for more info.

  • Thanks for the info. But the best roof materials are at TILE-MOLDS . com . Trust me, I've tried their services and I have no

    complaints!

  • Great vid.
