Italy/Philippine connections in music. started in early 1900, Italian Opera singers have been visiting the Philippines. early 50's I heard a classic Pilipino song "Anak Dalita" and it was now 2/2009 that I learned the Singers Identity. His name was Arrigo Pola. Former Luciano Pavarotti's voice teacher. Born in Modena Italy, place where Piliipnos made another history. The Only country who won two Grand Prix prizes in Choral competiition, held here.
Philippine Madrigal Singers won the awards.
