@DustWarden Aw! Now I feel really bad for spoiling it! Forget I said anything. It means *exactly* what you thought it meant ;)
-
@Sapphonouveau THAT'S what that means! All these years I thought it really WAS a euphemism for something naughty! XD Thank you for interpreting - although now Barker's comment about it melting is somehow not as funny...

@jozg44 In his defence, it is rather ridiculous, don't you think?

You can laugh now, you sniveling obsequious little toad, BUT I SHALL LAUGH LAST.
Don't think I've forgotten about you, merely laying the groundwork for your fake eared friend to gasp in shock and horror as she slowly realizes that THERE IS a rat amongst us and that there ARE consequences for her big fat mouth.

"HAHAHAHA...HAHA....HOHO!" Barker's laugh at 1:09 ! :D

Everyone in this film is just unbelievable. Only wish they hadn't portrayed WSG's marriage as rather unhappy; to best of my knowledge he & his Kitten were quite happy?
Thanks for posting!

LOL - Hokey-pokey sounds incredibly suggestive, considering it's just victorian slang for ice-cream!

"I shan't bring any for you, because it would melt!"

I really like the expression on Ron Cook (Richard D'Oyle Carte)'s face through this scene- he clearly thinks all this 'talking code down the telephone' malarky is ridiculous. Thanks for posting.
