there have been privately owned prisons in the US since the 1800's

they made it clear at the time that it was to replace the slave work force at the end of the civil war. The worst was probably the Convict Leasing system in place till the late 1920's that made a prisoner a slave - the only difference was that you couldn't be born into that form of slavery

Its real simple the solution is...obey the laws of the land...selling dope is not legal so don't...stealing is illegal so stop...just simple ..do the right thing...if your broke ...so what....don't take another man's money at gun point...its wrong...you won't have that worry of being anyones lave if your a honest, trustful helping good guy...its that simple

now you know why they give mandotory minimum for drug users? 2-5 for using drugs! prisons are for people who are a danger to others, thats why they lock them up. but if you decide to snort, or puff your ass is a pivate prison employee for a couple of years.
