Sue Myrick Town Hall w/ Charlotte Muslim Community Feb 25, 2010

On February 25, 2010 U.S. Representative Sue Myrick from North Carolina's 9th District held a town hall forum in Charlotte, NC aimed at smoothing out some wrinkles in her relations with the Muslim community. Myrick is a very outspoken anti-terrorism Congresswoman whose off-the-cuff remarks have drawn criticism from pro-Muslim groups who accuse her of insensitivity and exclusively singling out Muslims when she talks about terrorism. We were unable to attend the entire town hall and had limited footage, but here's a sample of the gathering.

We had very little notice about the town hall and only had 20 minutes of footage available, most of which was just her speaking. There's footage of Radwan Masmoudi, but I didn't get most of his comments. You ask why both sides of the discussion weren't represented, but then say you want to see footage of the muslim participants and not Myrick. Both parties were lecturing each other, let's be honest. Next time we'll be better prepared. ;)

Why not show both sides of the discussion? I would like to see footage of the muslim participants, not of the congresswoman lecturing to people about their religion.
