Johnny signs off after 30 years.
Carson's last show featured a look behind the scenes from the moment Johnny pulled into the studio back-lot.
I have edited out all the commercial spots, past guest video clips from years back, etc., to give you only the live stuff that aired that night.
Johnny says goodbye to Ed McMahon & Doc Severinsen. This was the last time all three men appeared together on television or anywhere else.
Please sit back, relax in your favorite chair, and enjoy television history being made, May 22, 1992.

Great television...the last man to produce this kind of humor after Carson was Letterman but know even he has lost his touch......anybody wanna buy a television set?
We will never see this kind of talent on the *Tonight Show ever again. Johnny Carson had a gift that allowed him to always be on center stage. His facial expressions were priceless. Thank you for posting this video.
The interesting thing about seeing the mic on this screen so much is that YouTube shows the ENTIRE frame where people at that time watching the show on a normal TV set would probably not see nearly as much of the boom mic.
To me, Johnny was more than the greatest late show host, he was the funniest comedian. No one has made me laugh as much as Johnny. He was clever, charming, imaginative and had a perfect sense of timing. We miss you Johnny! Thank you coffeehigh for posting.
Johnny was simply the greatest late show host of the 20th century. No one else even comes close...not Leno, not Letterman, not Conan...no one. I like these guys too, but Johnny was the king.
