Michal Jelinek about why his ideal workspace consists of a Cintiq 21UX and an Intuos4

Michal Jelinek has designed the concept of the Tatra 903 used in Wacom's Intuos4 communication. Michal is fully dedicated to concept design and concept art within Autodesks department of industrial design. He works as design consultant and the digital tools evangelist mainly for customers at automotive industry. He joined Autodesk in 2005. Previously, Michal held various posts and roles in the design and styling departments of Skoda, VW, GME, Nike, PSA and others. His experience in automotive and industrial design dates back to 1995.

@joey523006 hmm no. 1) like a lot of people he probably already had the intuos before the cintiq. 2) simpler to just start using the intuos than toggle display. and he's not even using photoshop 3) intuos' flat position is better for drawing while not looking at your hand, than the angled cintiqs, and the monitor would be awkwardly to one side here 5) why would it be better to clog up your desk with an extra monitor than to have an intuos which can just sit under the cintiq? (+cost)

@prodigyset420 i think what he meant is, you will move less and draw n paint more areas with intuos compared to cintiq, where uve to move ur arms around more. May be im wrong. it does kinda make sense :)

that is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. First of all get another monitor with the same aspect ratio, like most are, and you can easily move the project to your other monitor (not cintiq) and use the display toggle feature to see project on another monitor while using the pen on the cintiq like a traditional tablet. If you are using photoshop you can choose the create new window for (project name) and have 2 live views of the project you are working on for control.
