The best place to see the Tidal Bore is along the Pedicodiac River in Moncton or Riverview, New Brunswick. They've recently opened the Causeway gates that have been under debate since they were built, about 40 years ago. It really did a number on the river's ecosystem, and turned the river into a choked, muddy mess, shrinking the Tidal Bore from a meter-high wave to a quiet ripple. Opening the gates won't restore it completely, but it is definitely more impressing than it has been.
