Woah! Fantastic condition.
And the design is so special, wonderful - it's almost like they where part of a 40's idea of a space-ship.

Great old working TVs. Brings back memories of those days. I own presently in my collection a 1939 RCA TRK-12 Console TV with HiFi Radio from the NY Worlds Fair.

Great videos. Do you transmit the video to these sets or cable to them? I assume you are using DVDs and not VHS because I see that the video is sharp and there is no horizontal shifting at the top of the picture. I have the very set on the left that I plan to restore. I bought it from the original owner years ago in working condition but it needs new caps. I also have a blond Zenith AM/FM Giant Circle with a Cobramatic. I have restored the AM/FM and phono but not the TV.

Transmission is from a DVD player thru a 75ohm transformer connected to the antenna terminals. Good luck on your restoration, I replaced the CRT's on both these sets with 12LP4 glass picture tubes as both the original Metal 12Up4's went to air and are nearly impossible to find now. I like the 12LP4's better anyway, much brighter. Sounds like your blond Zenith combo is from the 1951 line with the 16" circle screen.

I want one of these! If tvs were rounded by then does that mean you lost partial view of the film frame? You know, the corners.

These sets actually have a switch to crop the picture and give a sort of Letterbox look, I prefer to leave the picture full with what Zenith Advertised as "The Giant Circle Screen". Either way I can never see the scores on sports broadcasts, But the best part is I don't have to see the channel logos, watermarks in the corners. Wish all my screens were round!
