  • @ktsswan: You definitely have done much more tinkering with this vapor fuel thing than I have. Yes, I understand what you are saying. I certainly wont argue that point. When I get the chance, I really need to get back to it and detail it like you have done.

  • @sunny5rising I did also use a vapor set up and the engine got very hot and I had to put a small pulley on the engine to pull the same load and rev the engine. I didn't like that. I am losing faith in the vapor theory. The math doesn't add up. I can't find my math paper right now, but when I do I will send you a copy. Basically, a certain amount of energy is required to do a certain amount of work, regardless of the form of the energy being used. Hope that made sense :D

  • @ktsswan: No need to apologize. It is ok to have a life outside of youtube, lol. Sounds like you had an interesting time with your project. Hmmm... Makes me wonder if there would be a difference in consumption between a vapor setup like mine and the ultrasonic fogger.

  • @sunny5rising I apologize for taking so long to reply regarding the fogger. I did build one and it ran the engine fine. My set up was not that great so I had a little trouble with air/fuel mixture, however, it did run very smooth when I had it dialed in.

As far as pulling a load, I pulled 20 amps pretty consistantly until my fuel level went low. I really did not notice much less fuel consumption between the carb and the fogger set up.

  • @cannabean5: Yes, mine would definitely benefit from using a bigger canister as well as bigger tubing/piping.

  • @sunny5rising I wish. Moved to an apartment let all of my projects go. I had no valves like you do on lines. Used old style edger with belt n blade on t arm all adjustable. Removed edger arm junk and adjustable f wheel system, f wheels moved to plate. Ozarka bottle placed through the handle to the baseplate (I extended the base plate back a little) good fit. I wonder if yours would run cleaner if you had a much larger canister more fumes no fuel getting in the lines?

  • @cannabean5: Good deal. Ever thought about doing a video of your setup? I would certainly like to see it up and running. I'm sure others would too.

  • @cannabean5: I agree... Using the governor is definitely the way to go.

  • Only the govenor butterfly stayed inside. The outlet from the Ozarka container went to the fitting I put in the top of the totaly sealed air filter box.

I got 15 min out of that. I think you should get another junk carb and do what I did carb wise. You may need that govenor valve. I was going to try drilling out one of the unused air fuel mix holes and jb weld a pipe for the fumes to go in and the air filter box could probably be stock.

    Good luck

  • I played around with this before using a 5 gal Ozarka water bottle with a soaked rag in it hanging from a wire (middle) and just made (2) 1/2 in small holes on top.I ran a pvc pipe with 2 holes (bottom sides) to the bottom of the container and an air filter on top. The other hole was an outlet to hose to carb air intake (put a hole on the stock filter box and sealed it up). Removed choke, took everything off the bottom of the carb (bowl, float, small pipes) and sealed up the rest in the bowl.
