No sound until start level at 0:29.

Sorry for the poor captions. They were added as an afterthought, so need to pause to read them. And wait for progress bar to fade.

I've always wanted to complete this game. And after finding a scanned guide of the first level on Amiga Magazine Rack website (of Amiga Action magazine, issue 15), I had a starting point to work from.

The guide recommended slightly different gear, but I found stocking up with refills and electronics worked better for me, as I never used the power packs or grenades.

There are additional items spread around the level, such as refills. But I went for the most direct route.

Hope to include further levels when time allows me to explore. To ensure less than 10 minute level clips.

  • The only thing that let this game down for me back then on the Amiga was the method of control. Using the mouse on that shitty control pad ruined it for me :( They should have had control for movement via the arrow keys and all other functions via the mouse.

  • @blade004:

    I totally agree with you.

When I finished the game I meant to check if joystick could be used for movement only and mouse for everything else within WinUAE. But I never got around to experimenting with the settings, or editing footage.

  • I've been playing this lots but can't locate the embryo you have to collect. Where is it?

  • @retronostalgic:

Embryo is located on sub level 3.

In order to access this level you need to increase security access on I.D. card to level 7. By using terminals located on various levels.

  • Wow, from the creators of Tomb Raider, also what's interesting is it was released a year before id's Hovertank 3D. According to Wikipedia It was developed for Core Design by Dementia Productions by Bill Allen with graphics and design by Kevin Bulmer(2 guys:O) Released 1990 first on the Amiga then the Atari ST and PC DOS, later ported to the Mega Drive/Genesis. So if these stats are correct it would mean that this game is the father of modern FPS and not id software:O
