No, there are no siege engines in the game. They're just props/decoration.

Can you only besiege a castle if you belong to a faction?

No, you can do as yuo like but you have to be enemies with the faction first. So attack some caravans or lords to become enemies and then besiege one of their castles. You'll be at war with everyone though - so it's tough.

it's a city not a castle and it is in my opinion the hardest sieges of a town

By they way, I never knew Tihr looked like this during sieges. Two walls to go up? Damn, that must be a pain in the ass. Especially because of those really narrow ladders, and there's only one of them on each wall.

i took tihr on the first try heres how, i had the max units you can have at 25-50 and had abot 31-36 nord hurcarls and sergeants, i put my archers on the first wall then attack the second wall with my infantry. it shoudnt be hard to brake threw the second wall. if your besieging a castle/town that has no lord in it just keep your infantry where you start off at snd the enemy will start charging down the ladder from the castle to be slaughtered

It takes some serious balls to attack a Nord city. Their infantry pretty much own everything. :P

i don't get this, whenever i beseige a castle/town i just kill the defenders on the wall and in the courtyard and i win the city, how come the battle continues for you through the whole town? i wanna fight in the actual castle as well :/

Yah im a the marshall for the vaegirs in my game and i took sargoth and wercheg but know Tihr is left and it has over 1000 defenders im troubled
