Doors Open Mississauga revisits the 1957 promotional film, "The Cinderella Township" as a point of departure for it's annual city showcase event.
This 13 minute film was created by the Township of Toronto (now City of Mississauga) to attract new industries and residents to the area.
Today, the film is re-mastered to include contemporary footage of the city, and stands as both an idyllic and starkly telling document of the great period of infrastructure and industrial development that Mississauga has undergone in the past fifty years.
