Enforcing hijaab is only going to make people rebel against it. People get hyper-sexualized too, and it just ticks me off that the government interprets the Quran in that way. Its even more upsetting when Iranians are so antagonistic towards Islam and try to get rid of all the Arabic/Islamic influence in their language, culture, and history. Instead of Salaam, some of them will say Dorood, which is the pre-Islamic Persian.

This kind of extremist interpretation of Islam is one of the major reasons why most Iranian people hate Islam and Arabs. Its sad because we dont see how western intervention screwed up the Iranian government and made way for the fanatics like Khomeni. The same thing will happen to Pakistan if it gets Talibanized. Then after a while, Pakistanis will distance themselves from Islam and forget that the U.S. invasion in Iraq trigged all this radicalism.

These people are giving you a wrong impression of Islam, Islam has never said that Hijab is a must, but ignorant people quickly catch the idea once they've seen old muslim ladies wear it. Islam is the religion of peace and love, and who ever says otherwise is clearly unaware of what's going on around him and is ignorant. Please read the Quran and then come and speak.
