They took some liberties with the timeline and Elizabeth's age here--Elizabeth was only eight when Kitty Howard was sentenced to death, and it had a lasting impact on her to see how she was rejected. Her father's treatment of his wives was one of the reasons she decided never to marry, and let her husband have that kind of power over her.

@bexie1992 My bad luck then -missed all the warm years. Or rather, maybe I am not used to the cold. My hubby can walk around in 18 degrees because it feels warm to him but I am still going around in a jumper! Now last year was warm but, again, I was stuck overseas :-/

@NoSenseization I know that Elizabeth was not a very friendly queen, I know a bit about what happened to the Irish under her reign. What I meant with my comment is that Elizabeth became somehow a legend and it is quite funny to see howm uch Henry was dissapointed while Elizabeth fulfilled his dreams.

@MarinaMaxwellYuy Whether she was one of the greatest is debatable. Contrary to popular belief she wasn't exactly to the friendliest queen nor merciful. Ask the Irish how good queen Bess was towards them. That being said I hope I do not get beheaded at this years ren faire lol
