Totally true. I recorded my own EP and put in over $7000 of my own money and the doors are starting to open to me. If you are willing to be the artist, performer, record label, manager, publicist and everything else at once, people start to help you. But that's not the issue. You can do it yourself. The less people involved, the more of the income you can keep and the easier to pay the bills. He's right. It's not about superstardom.
