@TheKickasskatie green terrors are definitely not as aggressive as the pearl's. I have both and the pearl is 5 times meaner than the green terror

@ajre82 Dont worry, mine also grows slowly

really beautiful pearl. its funny with all the talk about the green terror because im actually super torn about getting a green terror or a pearl. i cant decide! they r both beautiful fish. the store around here has pearls, but im not sure if u can tell what their coloring is going to be like when their very small and they only have very small ones :/

i have 2 about 8 inches and mine attacks anything lol

@orgasmoman69 for those that think its a green terror look at its face notice the faded line that starts above the eye down to the eye then continues below the eye thats the give away thats its a pearl cichlid

how long have you had your pearl? what kind of growth rate did it have? i ask because i've had my juvenile for months and it's growing pretty slowly. it keeps getting picked on by my firemouths. my krib often protects it, but the pearl is still getting roughed up.

@ajre82 they r prity hartty, my big pearl took a big chunk out of my little female pearls tail and it got real infected and the whole tail got infected and died and i put some aloe vera water conditioner in and she healed prity damn quick.
U might think they grow slow but i found with plenty of filter cleans and good water with a bit of salt and they grow damn fast

@orgasmoman69 I have one, and he consistently attacks my red devil, pacu, and jack dempsey...all of them are larger than he is.

@gmann4231 yeah i found that when i first bought my big one. I had him in a 4foot tank and he was allways real stressed and would attack all the fish and would just really seem aggrivated and hypo. Now iv got them both in a 500litre tank with terrors,s shark, clown loach, ghost knife and they dont attack them at all and r real placid and mellow.
Unless they have eggs or fry i found they r the best parents of the cichlid family ever, they work 2gether so well. Ill upload a new clip
