i just fell in love with this song!! i'm crying like a baby but it just really got to me... i'm a girl who's father died when i was 11 and not having him around has always hurt me... i've realized that i was looking for someone to love me NOT REALIZING THAT GOD LOVES ME!! Even though im not christian this song touched me so much. I'm 17 & I miss my dad, He used to be my hero, he's not dead, my parents aren't divorced. He just never speaks to me anymore. he's always on business trips or fancy holidays. when he is around I am ignored. I'm not interesting to him.

I try to keep it pushed down & look for love in other places. I didn't realise how much it bothered me until I heard this and cried. I wish he'd speak to me again, at least on my birthday : /

i have taken up a cred as my own i have been called foolish and nive 'Pain is Temporary Honor is Forever' though many "men" will run those who have honor and greatness fo strangth, soundness of mind, kindness of heart though few will always come through. i for one have never given up 'only in death will duty end' till i am old and even then i will never run i am of german heratige we don't run we stand our ground

i'm not sure how to comment on this video.... just that as a guy i have seen a girl i love hate her father, and what he did to her made her lovless not wanting to get hurt when all i have for her is love of the purest kind i wish she would realize that i would do notheing to hurt her, instead i would fight kill and die for her just so that she is safe

This song is so much like my life. I don't know my Earthly Father. And there is a spot inside of me that is longing to know him but will never have that satisfaction. I keep waiting for my Biological Mother to call me and tell me who he is and what he looks like. He doesn't know I exist. I feel as though part of me is just shattering every birthday even though I know I have a Heavenly Father. The love that most understand and have I have trouble accepting. I struggle everyday with it.
