I would like to thank all the Cast and Crew for bringing us such a special live show from the Granada Studios in Manchester. I understand the outdoor set is to be moved to Media City and will have state of the art indoor studios as well. Congratulations Corrie on your 50th. By the way did anyone else notice the poem read by Ken at the Christmas Street service? Written by the Poet Laureate to Celebrate the Street's 50th!

Coronation Street is my ultimate favourite soap!
When the tram crash storyline at Coronation Street aired, I was more an EastEnders fan than I was Corrie. But after watching this episode, Corrie is #1! They did so much better than EastEnders when it came to a live episode. NO SCREW UP'S AT ALL and it was an hour long! EastEnders was only half an hour, with no big stunts and Scott Maslen fucked up his lines, characters being called by their own name ... the lot! I <3 CORRIE!

why are the 3 girls crying

i love the way david runs to nick. david is a little sod (got worse after his dad left) but he loves his family, defending his mum in prison, crying when sarahs baby died and when he put bethany in hospital.

Anthony Cotton was amazing in this episode. I forgot that it was live until afterwards.
I didn't spot many mistakes

AMAZING acting by Vikki Binns (Molly) Sally Dynevor (Sally) and Jennie McAlpine (Fiz)
Many of the young cast were good aswell , although you didn't see much of them, such as Georgia May Foote and Sam Aston (Katie and Chesney)
I'm So glad that Sophie and/or Sian didn't die, they've been my favourites through my life, since I started watching it about 8 years ago when I was 5years old.

@CollsbLuvIn She didn't say archies as in eastenders. she meant the arches as in the roof!

Why is everybody making a big deal about the helmet thing with Sally. Sally Dynevor - the amazing actress that she is- was wearing a wig at that time. due to the fact that she had just battled with cancer. She wouldn't have been able to wear the helmet and the wig at the same time so they had to choose - Wig, and hope that many people wouldn't notice about the helmet. or helmet, and then she wouldn't look like Sally at the time. People shouldn't make a fuss. She's an amazing actress.

I agree, the no-helmet thing with Sally was a bit unrealistic, but really, why are people getting so butt-hurt over it?
Yes, it was a flub-up, but just remember that this was a live episode, and the rest of it went fantastically well. So stop complaining about one little mistake. :/ It's not like it affected the plot.

@chooper303 you at least see her put it down at the start of part 2 so was at least given one..maybe it works better tv wise to not have her in a big blue helmet?
