Quincy Jones never got the main credit for Michael Jackson's "Up The Wall" and "Thriller". Or George Martin for every Beatles album. Brown didn't have much to do with this album; everything was written and produced by Dan Hartman and Charlie Midnight. They told him to show up and, when he did, they told him how to sing it.

@nutbagbrew102 The "only" black man? Umm, I can name you HUNDREDS of legendary, talented BLACK MEN in the music business (in literally EVERY genre) that have put in tons of hard, honest work, and been responsible for MUCH of the GREAT music that has existed in the last 50 years! Where can I start?

Saw him live twice--simply incredible! There'll never be another like him---
Man this is a GREAT SONG! This sounds identical to "Living In America" on Rocky IV....What's Ironic about this song and the context of this pattern of this song is that the first time i heard this music was on The Movie "Eye of The Tiger" with Yahphet Kotto and Gary Busey
