It has been man's basic nature to destroy himself. He's been doing a good job of that for thousands and thousands of years. We've become numb to it. What do dogs have to do with it? Nothing. Leave them out of it. That dumb marine should have thrown himself off a cliff if he was looking for a laugh. Duty? Honor? Courage? That soldier didn't show any of those qualities. He should have known better, but instead let his country down.
