@JoelPopcountertenor I agree 100%, as great as this man voice is, the Mark Lowry rendition is much better. But these lyrics are so amazing , I think even Willie Nelson couldn't mess it up.

@tina811 David finally developed emotion in his performances at around 2000 or so. As good as Josh is, he can't match David there. That being said, this is not a rendition I like compared to Mark Lowry who is vocally not as good but interpreted his own song better. I love David on other songs but I do respect his exercise of restraint here.

@0MidnightRider I've heard Mark Lowry sing it many times. I especially like it backed up by Guy Penrod and David Phelps. Are you aware that it was written by Mark Lowry?
