I have been buying all this guys records since "Every Island" came out. A player with his ability at the top of the musician food chain should be much better known.

I have got to say, this is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever been blessed with hearing. The guitar style reminds me of something that would come out of candy rat, and then, when combined with the overtone singing, it's just absolutely sublime.

hey Danny, this is eric from GR. I met you at j hunt's pad about 10 years ago. folks, i've seen Danny play this on a chair on my guitar. he's no joke! i couldn't agree more, stretch54! and he's a great human being to boot!
But there's also one flute in there, isn't there :O ?
I mean seriously, listen to 00:56 ...

@MoaiMaea yes, after singing the melody in overtones a couple times through, i double part of it on bansuri (indian bamboo flute). this happens at 00:53 just before the percussion break that proceeds the guitar solo, then after the solo where it is also doubled on guitar.

this danny heines in response to the last comment. the melody is being sung in overtones. not sure what you mean by throat whistling. i am singing a drone and creating the overtones. You don't hear fundamental because in blends with the open strings of the acoustic tapping part and another simple guitar part centering around the same note.
