@VoteNoManchester nothing has changed in london so take a lesson from us and say NO

anyone voting FOR congestion charge needs their head examined.
£60 if you don't know if you entered the zone as a penalty. It's nothing but vile theft.

mother fuckers are keep coming out with new ideas to pocket our money, what next charging us for walking down the street, this is seriously getting out of hand some 1 needs to say stop to this madness, if they realy care about the environment than they should convert all london buses in the CO or electricity. COCK SUCKERS
-
disgusting, another way of theft without anything in return
i'd like to get hold of the currant prick in whitehall and the useless tosser who's done nothing for london in city hall and stick my dick in them and ask them how does THAT feel ?

i didnt want to travel with smelly poor people. so i voted no...

So, a cheaper and effectinve improvement scheme would be better.
i) Park and ride from the M60 where train lines cross the M60, cheap and effective.
ii) not waste £3m on advertising from GMfuture transport and spend that on 340 buses and a pot of yellow paint. (cheap effective)iii) work with govt & network rail to ammend the 30 year old timetables and incetivised TOCS to have longer trains.(cheap effective)iv) park & ride with monorail from inner city locations (cheap effective)

Yes, after carming down about it I now see this. It's just you have to wait for ages to get on a overly packed tram that are constantly braking down, or there is something wrong with. The only way to beat the rush is to ever work outside of rush hour, or be very early and leave a hugh amount of time to get to the place you got to go. Plus I would not want to drive into Manchester, as it cost too much on fuel and finding a parking space, then paying for it is even worse.
-
most pwople who voted 'no' thought the same, just Tif was too expensive and ineffective
And what for this miraculous reform we are promised? With the majority of private transport companies in Gr. Manchester - who is actually likely to benefit from this investment? No promises have been made from any non-nationalised transport firms to reduce fairs - or even increase the number of buses/trains on the road.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for transport reform, but at this cost, no way. As a motorist who ventures in and out of the city frequently, I don't find peak traffic to be that big a concern.
If this idea is rejected, then another will come up in its place - perhaps a better offer?
C-Charging is not the only solution!
