Poachers in the Headlights

The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources has many tools to combat poaching. One method is using mechanical or dummy deer. Jack Lytle discusses why the division uses this approach to catch poachers in Utah.

I believe in what these wildlife officers are doing and i am a hunter, there is nothing I hate more than unethical hunters. You people that are talking about how hunters are bad are just plain wrong. Instead of going to the store to get are meat we go to the woods and kill it ourselves. Hunting the animals gives the animals we hunt a fair chance to survive, Unlike slot-er houses. Weather you like it or not humans are meat eaters and predators.

I wish there could be a reverse of roles , the hunter becomes the hunted and the hunted becomes the hunter . It's sad to see what people do to these magnifigant animals . Here in southeastern Utah I have come across Deer and Elk alive with arrows sticking in their sides and also with their lower jaws blown off not being able to even drink water . It's a shame that people have to be sadistical killers !
