  • That little boy is far to small to carry the cross - rediculous, not to mention a safety hazard! Would have been better with two boys as acolytes and an older male as crucifer.

Why has the bishop got his Crozier backwards? Is he an abbot all of a sudden??

  • This boy was not as small as he seems. But it was not me who distributed the functions...

As far as the bishop is concerned he payed a visit to the city of Krakow, which is a seat of archbishop of Krakow. A visiting bishop, as a rule, doesn't have the right to use a crosier, only if he gets a special permission. In this case he did get it. But even then, since he doesn't have his jurisdiction in the visiting place, he may not use it in normal way, and has to turn in back. It is an obvious rule.

  • 26 of november?, but today is 9.

  • Of course you're right! My mistake. I ment 26 November of the year of 2006! ;)

  • BTW: After His Excellence blessing there goes his master of liturgical ceremonies in white surplice, and right after him that's me :) - in white surplice and humeral veil (in front of a camera, at 0:30-0:31)

  • oh Cannon Phillips yea I know of him, and he is an aquantance of Mary Hubbly who I sell music for from time to time, she is a church music composer with a love of the old, anyway that would explain the birettas and the bishop wearing the gloves which is nice to see since you dont see it all too often these days, wish I could have seen the mass though.

  • Hey that's Bp.Perry of Chicago USA.

  • Thanks for the explanation! Did'nt think about him not being in his juristiction. However, I've not heard that before. It is long the practice in Britain that a visiting bishop does not carry a crozier and that an Archbishop has his archiepiscopal cross carried before him when out of his archdiocese. But the Polish practice makes more sense I think!!

  • Msgr. Perry is accompanied by the members of the Society of St. John Cantius of Chicago, a diocesan order dedicated to the Restoration of the Sacred. With him and following him on his right are Rev. Frank Phillips, C.R., a Ressurectionist father who started the SSJC, Fr. Dennis Kolinski, behind and to his left, one of the first priest ordained to the order and currently Pastor of their first parish outside of Chicago in Volo, IL, and Rev. Br. Bart Juncer, then a deacon and now in Theologate.

  • L'organiste joue «Carillon de Westminster» de Louis Vierne.

  • Too bad the video isn't longer.

However, I, as a catholic, don't like the distinctions "true" and "other" catholics. We're all a part of ONE, holy, apostolic church, no matter which type of mass we (have the possibility) attend.
