IntoMobile sets out to find out just how slow the iPhone's EDGE-only web-surfing experience is in comparison to an AT&T Tilt 8925 (HTC Kaiser TyTn II) with a 3G data connection.
Not particularly scientific results. There are so many factors at play here - browser optimisation, network status, internet routing, etc, that it's going to be hard to see an objective result without some very methodical testing. What should be obvious though, is that 3G will always be faster than EDGE under ideal conditions, as it's a faster technology. (Which is why EDGE is referred to as '2.75G', and why many are puzzled by Apple's decision to support it instead of real 3G.)

It doesn't matter how fast a page loads, 3G will always be faster the EDGE's 2.5G speeds.
