Makes a lot of sense to me! I often wondered the difference between the Miss USA and Miss America pageants. Now, was Vanessa Williams a former Miss USA or a Miss America? As was Halle Barry? Both pageant winners have really parlayed their beauty and smarts to become respected actresses in thier own right, haven't they?

vanessa was miss america and halle berry was first runner up in miss usa and then repreented the us in the miss world competition, so she was miss usa world
