Non monogomous relationships are not valued in black society, particularly by black men. The exact same black male behavior that causes the spread of aids in africa causes it here...non monogomy and a disregard for the lives and health of others. Let the savages evolve, Darwinian processes will weed them out, our involvement can do nothing to save them.

well...that's not necessarily true. There are so many factors that exacerbated this problem. Prisons and IV drug use mixed with culture taboos are a huge problem.

why did gwen ifill ask a question about AIDS among black women instead of asking about the disease in the entire black community? why not mention the AIDS infection rate among black men?

so, the inmates know many have a deadly sex disease , but still they decide to have sex, without condom, I guess that happens when drunk or drugged. but still, its almost like suicidal.

This is so scary. I'm a African Ameican mom raising a daughter. Before I expose myself and my child, I will be celibate for the rest of my life. I pray my child doesn't ever contract this. And I also pray for people infected and to the many families who has lost a loved one. May God continue to watch over you.

I'm a CO in a prison where 80%+ of the inmates are Black. A LOT of them have AIDS. You can't officially be told but you can tell by the medication they get that they have AIDS. There is a lot of gay sex that goes on in prison. The inmates believe that they are not gay if they are giving anal sex to a man or receiving oral sex from a man. When they get out they have sex with with their girlfriends who get infected. The girls then get pregnant and the babies are born with AIDs.
