  • "if you want to escape poverty in the west indies you play cricket" wow, maybe the dumbest thing i've heard in along time. I would venture to say about 90% of west indian cricketers come from middle class to upper middle class backgrounds eg, carl hooper, jimmy adams etc

  • Did he play international cricket? I swear I remember him playing against England somewhere and winning the game for Zimbabwe!

  • @janga75 LOOOOOL WESTINDIES IS STILL POOOOOOR EVEN IF U WANT 2 PROVE THEY R V RICH ...OK TELL ME R THEY IN TOP 50 ECONOMIC COUNTRIES IN THE WORLDS LIST NO.. HA HA HA SO SHUT THE FUCK UP N DIGEST THE TRUTH :D

  • Shame he was never much chop...

  • @maxlogica Cricket used to be an elite sport before minions began to creep in. Now you see every pariah and his son playing the great game that was originally meant for blue-blooded ubermenschen! Times change and a demographical shift in the talent pool as well as the target market isn't all that surprising.

  • That's my young brother and that was one of his life turning point. Did well for him self considering what we had to go through.

  • Another remarkable video Rob....I almost cried when he was saying how his mother didn't have money for school so he had to succeed in cricket. This is the same story for a lot of kids in India/Pakistan/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka.

  • 0:17 Maybe Andy Flower?

  • @GetBackToNowhere - Yes he did.. Over 100 ODI's from 2002 to 2010. He still plays provincial cricket in Zimbabwe. He's only still 28, so there's every chance you will see him playing in Zimbabwe colors in the future.

  • inspiring stuff.
