@ naming69 I've Been barefooting it for just over a year now and next to bare feet these are a fantastic option if you need a bit of abrasion or stone protection. I've done the VVF thing, and I prefer these, These provide me the protection and allow my foot to flex and move a little more naturally. Regarding feet getting cold, when your feet adapt your foot vascularity will increase to the point where in shoes your feet will feel hot, cold feet will never be a problem again. Hope that helps
I just learned about these Merrell Trail barefoot shoes after finding a link for them on a forum thread about Vibram Five-Fingers. I think I prefer these but how's the water-proofing and insulation considering you guys are running in snow? Were you wearing lightweight wool socks also?
