This weird thing is an experiment I had to try, after making all kinds of joule thiefs and realizing that using points might do the same thing mechanically as transistors do for us now. So instead of winding new coils over cores of 1/32 inch iron wire (baling wire) I had these model t spark coils laying around and used the primary and secondary windings inside the box, and instead of using the buzzer assembly on top
of the spark box, I used a cheap .50 cent house buzzer to break the current, 1.5 volt AA battery driving the buzzer, neon wired direct to output on secondary, then from the neon to the batt being charged, here a dead flushed 12 lawnmower battery. Using the neon with a potentiometer lets me adjust the radiant 'balance' to the battery being charged. Seems to work for me. Oh, a diode off the plus out of
secondary. I will put a schematic with pics at perpetualmotionholder dot com.
Thanks to pirate and the others for the inspiration, thanks!

  • The site is now up, and I am adding my photos and schematics. For m3sca1 yes the noise will drive you bonkers!:) I think it is acting as a rectifier, thanks!

  • id love your opinion of my Don Smith Device, you would rule the net if you put one of those together with your skills

  • this is amazing buddy!!!!!

  • You can even simplify by removing buzzer & making self-oscillator from the car ignition coil so it becomes famous Ruhmkorff coil (please see Part 1, 2 & 3 of my channel).

  • Yes, very true about plasmic nature of neon bulb & even more true for plasma tendrils resonator - please Parts 7 & 8 of my channel.

  • I have found that a Neon Bulb will act as a rectifier and you will NOT NEED a diode. YOU HAVE FOUND THAT IT IS REALLY TRUE !!

I have seen that on a O scope i will try to post that soon "QUANTUMNEON" You tube...

  • Great video. Can't find anything with the link you posted except this video

  • awesome-my ears are still ringing from that noise, lol.

the neon and where it discharges is interesting-is that behaving as a rectifier?
