SMOOTH OPERATOR with sax and flute solos!
MCMIreport.com was at the Big Daddy Kane show at the Prospect Park Bandshell, in Park Slope Brooklyn, by the 9th Street entrance. It was presented by LYRICIST LOUNGE (shout out to Danny Castro & Anthony Marshall) and CELEBRATE BROOKLYN, on Saturday, August 8, 7:30 p.m. The cost of the outdoor show was only $3.00 THANK YOU to them for giving us a real hip hop legend, plus openers like Rhazel, Ralph McDanciels (video tribute), Emilio Rojas (check the other videos on MCMIreport channel) and others. Kane put on a great performance and although the trend of rocking with live bands is popular right now, I do admit I wanted to hear the beats of the original records. With one or two exceptions, though, the band mostly recreated the original beats quite well.
KANE was both in character as a legendary Hip Hop superstar and as a humble artist who appreciates his fans. In other words, he was the man, lol. KANE is a smooth operator! Check out the rest of the series on YouTube.com/MCMIreport also check MCMIreport.com for more classic footage!
