Seymour Duncan makes some amazing pickups, but I must say, these are by far my favorite from him. The "Antiquity" Series of pickups from Seymour Duncan are some of the few pickups that Seymour winds himself, and sound amazing. Seymour winds these pickups to exact specifications of the original Gibson Patent Applied For pickups. They use alnico 2 magnets for a warm, rich, and articulate tone, the magnets are also slightly demagnetized to give it the tone of a 50 year old pickup that has slowly lost some magnetism. They are wound to Seymour's specs with 42 gauge enamel purple wire, just like the originals. Seymour Duncan does his own little twist on these pickups by giving them just a little bit more output to really make these pickups sing.
