This was one of those songs that when it was first released and played on the radio you knew it was a hit. Dream Police is just what rock and roll needed at the time....gave everybody a wake up call and a good kick in the gut. After all of these years it still kicks major butt and is my favorite Cheap Trick song.

wrong, he can still play drums and still does, most recently with a band called tinted windows and he plays out locally in Rockford..The truth is no one really knows. Some say personalty conflicts are the reason, with him rumored to be a grump. Bun E has gone on record to say himself it is not because of his back. He has reiterated this on the bands web-site and he blasted a reviewer on the Rolling Stone website who reviewed their show with Daxx who said it was about his back.

People who VOTE thumbs down I will bet were NOT born in the 1960's. These guys were not the most popular band in 1976 I give that one to BOSTON. However we had so much music then. Cheap Trick Live at Budokan was a favorite of mine as well as Kansas Peter Frampton Comes Alive etc. This was a great time to be alive in the Rock era folks

I saw Rick on American Picker's last week. It brought back memories of my youth . I am 51. !976 Live at Budokan and 1979 Dream Police. This band has a HEAVY Beatles influence. this song and album came out in the same years as The Cars and The Knack which sounded similar. GREAT Times GREAT Music . Not as timeless as Boston , Kansas or Frampton..
