@davelantor I agree with you, but I think most people lack the self control, if you aren't following God then where do you draw the line? Wherever you feel like it.. I do think that TV has some good programs, like "It's a New Day," a Christian TV show, "Scared Straight," a show showing youth about gangs... "Intervention," a show that helps peoples lives... I also feel like documentaries are good for ppl to see, but alot of them contain lies, deception.

Although most books are corrupt too, TV is going to be used in later times, to get full controll over humans mind through Hypnotism.

You dont believe me? All the " Shows" about Uri Geller ,and Show Hypnotists, will turn from Entertainment, to Enslavement.

If you see a murder on TV .. that doesn't mean you should go out and murder someone .. we are in the age of mass communication, and religious people need to suck it up. People should see the humans with their imperfections does stupid stuff, random events ruin peoples lives. Watching tv is a bit dumber version of reading a book, it will extend your point of view, introduce new ideas, give new points of view.

BUT if the YOU, the viewer, is not capable of self control, you will FAIL.

There is a book that tells of the origin of entertainment which began around Shakesphere's time. Obviously it generally existed before that, but at one particular point in history the Roman governement decided that since they couldn't stop people from being and becoming Christians that maybe they ought to try more subtle ways to take our minds off of God and reading the Bible. And now here we are.

This looks like a great series and I can't wait to watch it Ricky.

That was really well put! I was trying to think of a way to say that without being contentious.

Pretty much any tool can have multiple uses -- TV just happens to be extremely powerful and in our faces 24/7. And even if we don't watch at all, there is no end of distractions to keep our minds on ourselves and off of God.
