Nice pajamas. Nice snare. Your video wins.

@raokin466 Haha, maybe you're confused... I didn't order this snare to be made by some company. I physically built it with my own hands, as well as the rest of my kit...
It took me about a week to do all of the wood burning and finish work on this snare alone. And seeing as how I don't have a website where I sell my custom drums, It would be kind of hard to do that ;)
I should totally set up something like that though!

@TyTyDrummerGuy what if I go on their website to customize one like yours and buy it?

you could demo this doing clean center hits so to hear the most natural sound of this snare, it still sounds dry with your rimshots.

@just4thelolz There's a mix of rimshots and regular hits.. But for the most part I normally always play rimshots. I have some snares with a lot of character, but I built this one just to be big and beefy.

sounds good man, what head are you using? haha mine is the same size as yours but it doesn't matter what I do it has a slight ring to it maybe it's because it's a hybrid but I don't know, the thing is I don't wanna muffle it with moongels or anything haha

@pescalante2 I actually hate the way I had it tuned in this video haha... But I had been building it for months and just had to shoot a video of it the first time I played it. In this video I was using a Remo Black Suede Ambassador with an Evans Hazy 300 snare side.
Every snare drum will have a natural ring, I personally like the ring. But if you want to try to minimize it, I would try a Remo Black X head. They're super thick, so they wont give you as much natural tone but more power, less ring.
