@lightflower Leon Russell could do it because he would give the song its due respect. This song is a great work of art and should be treated as such. There are very few people who could add anything to it, since it already has the character of perfection. so, if a cover were to be done, it would have to be done in a style unlike that which Mr. Ferry and Roxy Music performed it. In other words, if someone covered it and tried to do it like the original version, it would be a disgrace to the song.
