http://www.pbs.org/wnet/need-to-know/health/video-blood-test-what-you-dont-kn... For decades, blood has been called "the gift of life." Each year, close to five million Americans receive a blood transfusion. For many, that transfusion will be a lifesaver. But for others, a transfusion may do more harm than good, according to some doctors and researchers. For those patients, there may be a better alternative. Need to Know medical correspondent Dr. Emily Senay reports on the potential problems, and ingenious solutions, to the time-honored practice of blood transfusions. Need to Know airs Fridays on PBS. • "For what benefit will it be to a man if he gains the whole world but forfeits his soul?," said Jesus. JW's look at this life as brief compared to forever. Obedience to the Christian command to 'abstain from blood' (Acts 15:20 KJ) takes faith. In the rare case of death (some die with transfusions too), there is thus hope. Posts below reveal ignorance. Get the full truth from bonafide Witness. Informed people know we live by the whole Bible, and don't sidestep verses like the above.

  • Please could you make this YouTube video viewable in other countries please. I try to watch it but it just says "The uploader has not made this video available in your country."

  • @lillyannaelizabeth Like churches that support Homosexuals, Faiths that go to war, and the "faithful" that have pre-marital sex, fornicate, and have extra-marital relations with those other then their spouse. How does a church allow such things when it is completely and obviously against biblical standards, priniciples, and guidelines? And w/o punishment?

  • So what do you give patients with a critically low hemoglobin?
