You must have read the Albert Goldman book. Since you do have an interest in this man you probably want to be well informed so you don't look like a fool. @kdj997 You must remember Elvis never claimed to be the king. He always said Jesus was the real KING. Elvis hated being called the king and said many times in concert he was not the king. Ihave never heard OF Steve Marriott. But I'll look him up and listen toi him, maybe i'll like his music. Imust say your post was very tactful and I really don't see why people would get mad at what you said, You used no foul language like many do. But WE ELVIS fans are very protective of Elvis. Elvis was the greatest entertainer that has ever walked the earth. No one could argue with that. Many people are jelous of Elvis. Some just hate for no reason. All three of my daughters suffer from the diease of alcoholism ( addiction). They were never raised around alcohol or drugs but unfortunately their father is an alcoholic therefore genetics plays a significant role in their future. Elvis's mother Gladys was an alcoholic who suffered from hepatits due to her alcohol abuse.  People need love and compassion not judgement as we ALL have an "ism" that we suffer from. kd997 may be a pharisee.... (Self-righteousness)

If you are a guy I could see why a man might be jealous of Elvis as I believe he was one of the most beautiful human beings that God ever created and definately gifted. Are you just not happy with your life so you try and steal other people's joy that do enjoy EP's music? EP didn't like being called the "King". As far as his addictions-millions are afflicted with this and they need our prayers not our judgement.
