ranting about the bisexuality fad with younger teens.

just so everyone knows, i believe people are born gay. i've always thought that way. i just believe it takes time to fully understand your own sexuality. of course, there are people who "grow up" quicker then others while others take a long time to come out of the closet.
my 4 year old cousin for example knew he was transgender at only 2. i also havw a gay uncle who knew he liked men at the age of 6. i've also had friends who claimed they were straight or bisexual until they were nearly out of their teens only to come out of the closet.

i was just stating that i believe for most it takes time to know who you are and to be able to understand it.
like me. i didn't know why i liked girls the way i did throughout my young age. it took until i was about 14 to know what i was and why i felt the way i did.
sorry if anyone took in the wrong way. especially my day and lesbian darlings.

i should really update on this topic.

btw. i don't fully blame katy perry. i know completely this bisexual-fad nonsense was going on a long time beforehand. just this new artist is using this fad to sell albums and making it expand out of the "scene and emo" community.

  • haha i knew i was lesbian when i was 9 do you think i was to young? I don't. You don't "turn" gay you are born gay!

  • @LeeAnnElizabeth

it's quite obvious that you don't "turn" gay.

but sometimes it takes people long into their youth to understand their sexuality full.

i had a friend who was bisexual until he was 16 and finally came out. i also had a friend who didn't come out until he was 23. everyone is different.f

i have a young cousin who knew he was transgender at only 2. i also have a uncle who was openly gay at the age of only 6.

some people "grow up" quicker then others, like yourself.

  • You seem very close minded. I'm pansexual and I have been for a very long time, I've always found an attraction to females and males in the sense I don't see them differently. I'm not a teeny bopper following fads and you can't label every person out there. Perry made a song and it was a song, nothing wrong with it. I myself enjoy it.

  • LOL obviously you didn't really get the point of the video... I'm pansexual and have been also for a very long time. I just feel like when girls kiss girls (and guy kissing guys) just for attention of the opposite sex and to gain things.. I find it in a way offensive and rude to the people who truly are apart of the sexual status: pansexual, gay, bisexual, trisexual, ect. i used katy perry's song as a reference because the barsexual boom was created because of it. sorry you got the wrong idea.

  • you should just stop talking.

  • naaaaaaah. ;) i'd rather stick around and piss morons like yourself off.

  • let me marry you D:

  • I agree, and for us that really are bisexual we get looked down apon because there are girls out ther who just do it because they think its cute or fun. I am so scared to tell anyone right now and I feel like if I do then everyone will just think that I am doing it for attention and Im really not that kind of person, but that is how a lot of girls act now

  • Well im glad someone else takes it srsly like me like omg y would u take it as a joke its just uncool n that guy getting beated just cos he is gay omg the people who did it need to grow up

  • i knew around the age of 7 that i liked girls....when all of my friends had crushes on the boys, i liked the girls. but i covered it up because i thought i was weird or different. when i was 12 i heard the term "bisexual" and just stuck with that, hoping one day i may "come to my senses", if you will" and like boys...well i didnt..im nearly 15 now and i know what i want. i like girls. im gay...i dont really know what that had to do with anything...just thought id share(:

  • Kudos to u girl I agree completely.

  • what the hell? do you see that you're confusing people by telling them that bisexuality is or is related to monogamy.... I'm 14 and I'll decide who the fuck I like. Of course once you chose someone you'll stick to them, the people who decide not to are just ignorants, just as some straight people cheat on their own partners And then you blame katty perry? the fuck is wrong with you? Are you going to blame avril lavigne for having written girlfriend when a straight man cheats on his gf?

  • I Understand where you're coming from. I made a similar video just recently. However, I feel it is inaccurate to blame either Katy Perry or the Emo Scene. I remember being in high school and seeing myspace profiles where girls said they were bisexual when they weren't years prior to "I kissed a girl". Also, the Emo scene has it's roots all the way back to 1985. People back then weren't even politically correct, let alone posing as sexually ambiguous. However, I blame both for not helping.

  • I also agree that Katy Perry probably had a big role in the bisexual/homosexual fad, with her Kissed a Girl song (not sure about other songs, I don't pay much attention to her). There needs to be a medium between the hate and the popularity, where it's just a normal thing some people are born with. That's what I hate about pop culture, things become so popular so fast, and for really stupid reasons... People need to actually think about the things they do everyday.

  • lol I remember my first (and only) girlfriend I had was like in grade 7. Looking back on that, I realize that I only agreed to go out with her because I didn't want to hurt her feelings or something. And then after we broke up, some grade 5 girl wanted to go out with me, and I was like "fuck that" (not literally). I've gone through a TON of changes since then though, so that won't be happening again. Taking that into account, I agree that sexuality shouldn't be taken so lightly.

  • This is the most sense I have heard anybody speak about the topic in quite a while. Loved the story about the kid faking to be gay to get into girls' pants. I should say, tho', that there's a lot of people being really hurt by this fad. I know of some lesbians that make a sport out of trying to "turn" straight girls into lesbians (especially ones with boyfriends) just to shag her; and then they leave her with a huge sex identity crisis afterwards. Sounds almost socopathic...
